EDH STAR's
East Durham Homes is launching a new reward scheme for tenants called EDH STAR’s - Scheme for Tenant Achievement Recognition. The trial scheme will start from the 1st of April 2008 and is designed to reward good tenants and to encourage more tenants to become involved in East Durham Homes.
All tenants are included in the scheme and will be able to collect ‘reward stamps’, once they have collected 10 stamps they can claim a £50 reward. Tenants who claim this reward will also be entered into a prize draw to win one of 3 additional prizes.
There are numerous ways for tenants to collect reward stamps including having a clear rent account, keeping their property and garden in good condition, paying their rent by direct debit and not carrying out any anti social behaviour (3 of the 10 stamps needed have to be from these).
Reward stamps will also be given to tenants for attending a resident’s association meeting, attending a board meeting or the AGM, attending a citizens panel/housing sub group meeting, completing a customer survey form, going on an arranged estate walkabout or attending one of East Durham Homes tenant involvement meetings such as a focus group or editing panel.
All tenants have been sent a Reward Card along with full details of how they can collect reward stamps in the post. Terms and conditions apply to the trial scheme; reward stamps will be limited to 10 stamps per household per year and the reward will be limited to the first 50 tenants who have collected all 10 stamps.
Julie Dower, East Durham Homes Customer Involvement Manager said, “We have introduced the new reward scheme to say thank you to our good tenants and hope that it will encourage more tenants to become involved in helping us to improve services as they will get reward stamps for attending meetings, working groups and for completing questionnaires.”
