Text us to get Involved
East Durham Homes has launched a new text service to encourage more tenants to get involved. Tenants who want to become involved in the way we deliver our services or want more information on becoming involved can now let us know by sending us a text message from their mobile phone.
Once a message is sent the request will be acknowledged immediately by text message and then a member of the EDH Customer Involvement Team will follow this up by calling the sender as soon as possible but not later than the end of the next working day.
This new initiative came about from the EDH Young Persons Forum who suggested that younger tenants would prefer to contact us by text message rather than calling us.
East Durham Homes has various ways for tenants to get involved such as working groups to influence services, an editing panel to produce the tenant newsletter and review leaflets, residents groups to discuss issues in the local area, the new Tenants Improving Services (TIS) Group which focuses on improving services to tenants or by filling in a survey to give us feedback. We would welcome any tenants who want to get involved because only by listening to tenants can we make a difference.
