Victim support
Working in partnership to support victims of anti-social behaviour
East Durham Homes is working closely with Victim Support to help and support victims of crime and serious anti-social behaviour.
East Durham Homes enforcement staff complete action plans with every victim, and those who may be suffering from crime or serious ASB, are advised of the support that can be provided by Victim Support. Victim Support is the independent national charity for people affected by crime. Their highly trained staff and volunteers in the community give free and confidential help to victims of crime, their family, friends and other people affected.
As well as referrals from our staff, Victim Support also welcomes referrals directly and aims to provide the support needed or signpost to appropriate services so that individual needs are met. Victim Support can be contacted locally on 01388 664 111. They also have a national 24-hour support line by calling 0845 30 30 900.
Victim Support could not exist without volunteers and funding and they are always looking for more support to continue the work they do. If you have the time and are interested in volunteering or to help fundraise then you can contact them direct or via our neighbourhood enforcement team.
