Service Standards (Your tenancy)
Ending your tenancy
We will:
- give you advice on ending your tenancy
- visit your home within the 4-week notice period
- tell you of any rent or other charges you owe us
- tell you how to get compensation if you have improved your home
- tell you about anything you may be charged for, such as repairs, and give you the opportunity to put them right before you move.
Empty homes service
We will:
- make sure all our empty homes are left safe and secure
- use steel security screens only in exceptional circumstances
- make sure that all empty homes meet our empty homes service standards
- tell you when the keys should be available for you to view the property
- accompany you to view any property you are offered
- give you a copy of the empty homes service standard when you view the property
- inspect the property with you after it has been repaired, to check it meets the empty homes standard
- give you a new home starter pack with cleaning materials, cloths, energy-efficient light bulbs and air fresheners.
