STAR's reward scheme
EDH STAR's - Scheme for Tenant Achievement Recognition is our reward scheme aimed at rewarding good customers and to encourage more to become involved in East Durham Homes.
The scheme was launched in April 2008 and has proved to be a success. In 2010/2011 we gave out a total of 2,866 stars for you getting involved, and as a result we awarded 62 customers with a £50 reward for acheiving the minimum required 10 stars for their involvement.

We also have an annual draw, where all customers who received the £50 reward go into a prize draw. This years winners were:
- 1st prize of £200 - Mr Gordon Carne from Peterlee.
- 2nd prize of £100 - Mrs Joyce Sloan from Peterlee.
- 3rd prize of £50 - Mr Ronald Barker from Shotton Colliery.
The scheme has started again from April 2011 and will run the same as previous years, but this year to save money, we will not be printing new cards or giving stamps. We will be recording your involvement through attendance sheets, so please make sure you register on any attendance sheet provided at any meetings, events etc.
Julie Dower, East Durham Homes Customer Involvement Manager said: “The STAR scheme has gone from strength to strength and we now have more people involved to help us to improve our services. There are many ways for tenants to get involved and I would encourage more people to contact us to find out how they can get involved as they really can help us to make a difference.”
