Racial harassment and hate crime service
We are determined to stamp out all forms of racial harassment and hate crime. If we have good evidence, we will work with other agencies to take firm action against those responsible and provide support and advice to their victims.
We train all our staff to deal effectively and sensitively with racist incidents.
We are committed to ensuring that all residents can live without fear of racial harassment, intimidation or attack.
Reporting racial harassment and hate crime
We encourage you to report any hate crime or racist incidents. We can only take effective action against those responsible when we know about the incidents.
We have adopted the Home Office code of practice on reporting and recording racist incidents. This lays down guidelines for recording and sharing information.
We will only pass confidential information to other organisations that may be able to help you if we have your permission first.
If you don't want to tell us your name, we will share information you give us for monitoring purposes only.
