Partnership working to improve estates

Following an Estate walkabout at Lancaster Hill Estate in Peterlee by Kevin Heckles, EDH Estate Officer and Stuart Wood, EDH Senior Estates and Regeneration Officer it was noted that the appearance of the garage doors and timber handrails were unsightly. As part of an action plan, joint funding was secured from EDH, North Peterlee Neighbourhood Pathfinder and the council’s Area Management Board.

The handrails were repaired and repainted along with the 33 council owned garages. Stuart Wood said: "This proved that through partnership working, real outcomes can be achieved to improve the appearance of our estates."
