Mediation services
Unite
Lots of people from all walks of life sometimes fall out with their neighbours. It might be over noise, parking, hedges or just a break down in communication. Often there is not a lot that the usual agencies, such as the Police, housing association or the local council can do to help directly. That’s where mediation comes in.
UNITE have been helping people resolve their conflicts since 1993. They have helped literally thousands of people sort out differences with their neighbours. Without giving advice or passing judgement, UNITE’s highly trained mediators help to get people talking to each other and guide them in making their own decisions and reaching an agreement that helps all concerned.
UNITE’s free service is available to everybody who lives in the District of Easington.

Support 2 Talk
Support 2 Talk is a pilot project, commissioned through the County Durham Homeless Action Partnership aimed to help where there is a breakdown in relationships between a young person and their family.
Referrals can be made at any point of involvement where possible reconciliation with family will help improve outcomes for a young person.
Target groups are young persons aged 16-25 years. As a service outcome young people are supported to maintain safe and healthy lifestyles through maintaining stable living arrangements.
