How is the service charge set
Before each financial year starts in April, we will send you a leasehold annual statement.
This will include your contribution towards the likely costs of any services provided, as well as building insurance for the forthcoming year.
At the end of the financial year (March) we will begin to calculate how much was actually spent.
Each September, we will send you a statement of actual expenditure. This gives details of the charge for each service provided to your block or estate during the previous financial year.
For example, in September 2007 you would receive a statement of actual expenditure for the previous financial year, April 2006 to March 2007.
If your estimate was too high, a refund is credited to your service charge account. If the estimated charge was too low, you will be asked to pay any additional amount.
