Financial inclusion - What's in it for me?
At East Durham Homes, we think everyone should be able to live comfortably and without worry in their home and community – to do this, people must feel financially secure.
As a responsible landlord, we aim to help our tenants who are facing hardship and unemployment. In doing so, we are:
- helping our tenants become financially secure
- contributing towards regenerating our communities
- making progress as an organisation.
If you are considering becoming an East Durham Homes tenant, it may be worth looking at the information on the cost of running a home (click on the link below).
You may also like our ‘What’s in it for me?’ magazine. It’s all about what we can do to help our tenants become financially secure, including work opportunities and training.
Who we work with
Working closely with other organisations is the key to providing the right information, advice and services for people facing problems such as debt and unemployment.
We work closely with partners such as East Durham Citizens Advice Bureau, Jobcentre Plus (Families First), East Durham College, Durham County Council and the Pension Service.
