Durham County Council stock options apraisal
East Durham Homes is an Arms Length Management Organisation (ALMO), owned by Durham County Council. We deliver housing management services to 8,500 customers living in the Easington area on behalf of the council. We are also responsible for delivering a programme of improvements to our customer’s homes, and for making sure council owned homes are repaired and maintained.
Durham County Council owns homes across County Durham. This includes around 4,300 homes in Wear Valley, which are also managed by an ALMO called Dale and Valley Homes. The council also owns around 6,100 homes in the Durham City area. These homes are managed by the council’s own ‘in house’ housing services provider, Durham City Homes.
The council is carrying out a ‘stock options appraisal’ of the housing they own in County Durham. This means that they are going to review and consider the way that homes are managed across County Durham.
