DISC – Drug Outreach Team
The outreach team works predominantly around drug issues with service users of any age, offering outreach support in various settings and access to other lifestyles and opportunities such as sporting or leisure activities as an alternative to their drug use.
The team offers support on a range of issues such as housing and benefits, employment and training, family conflict and life issues. It offers intensive support in both individual and group settings.

North East Council on Addictions (NECA)
NECA is a counseling service that offers one-to–one support via structured sessions in a warm and relaxed atmosphere at our office in Lee House.
Support, advice, information and counseling are offered to substance misusers of any age. Counseling is also offered for gambling addiction and support and advice is available to family or friends of substance misusers.
Easington Drug & Alcohol Service (EDAS)
EDAS provides help for anyone over the age of 16 with problems arising from the use of alcohol, illicit drugs, prescribed medication and over the counter medication.
One-to-one support is offered either at the office in Lee House or in GP surgeries, and home visits can also be arranged where necessary.
The service offers advice and information, counseling and support, harm reduction and monitored detoxification in liaison with local GP’s.

Drugs Training Team
The project provides partnership working with schools and local organisations to develop alcohol and substance misuse programmes for young people in Horden and Easington Colliery.
Stop smoking sessions are also run in partnership with school health in the comprehensive schools in the area.
The project will also, as part of the County Durham Drug Training Team, provide drugs training to anyone that requires it, including teachers and parents.

XS
XS is a multi agency service providing help and treatment to young people under 19 who have problems with drugs and/or alcohol. The service is for young people who have a serious substance misuse problem and are vulnerable, for example they have a child to look after or they are at risk of offending.
XS will meet with the young person a minimum of once a week during treatment process, providing access to a range of services including outreach support, harm minimisation, life skills, motivational interviewing.
