Youth Inclusion Programme (YIP)
The YIP seeks to reduce offending, truancy and exclusion in disadvantaged neighbourhoods by targeting support to those aged 13 – 16. YIP are based in Lee House, Peterlee and seek to engage young people in Denehouse, Edenhill and Acre Rigg as well as some targeted wards in Seaham.
YIP works with core group of 50 young people between 13 to 16 year olds. These 50 young people have been identified by Police, Social Care and Health, Education, other local agencies and the community.

On Track
On Track is resourced by Children’s Fundrack and is a programme of early intervention aimed at combating disaffection, anti-social behaviour and risk of crime. On Track focuses on reducing social exclusion and works multi-agency with YIP, Sure Start, Education Action Zone and Investing in Children.

County Durham Youth Engagement Service
County Durham Youth Engagement Service (CDYES) is the new name for County Durham Youth Offending Service, a multi-agency partnership, led by Durham County Council (Social Care and Health, and Education), with Police, Health and Probation.
The aim of the service is to prevent offending by young people under the age of 19. County Durham Youth Engagement Service is organised into 3 locally based teams:
- CDYES North - Derwentside, Durham and Chester-le-Street
- CDYES South - Teesdale, Wear Valley and Sedgefield
- CDYES East - Easington
CDYES also has three countywide teams: Prevention, Restorative Justice, Intensive Supervision and Surveillance.

Positive Activities for Young People (PAYP)
Positive Activities for Young People has been established to work with the Youth Inclusion Programme working with young people who have been identified as being at risk of offending/re-offending, committing anti-social behaviour and not engaging with education or training.
PAYP will provide high quality developmental activities for young people during all the school holiday periods. Additionally PAYP can provide individual support through the key worker system. The target group is 8 to 19 with emphasis on the 13 to 17 age group.

Adam Martin can also be contacted to arrange parenting skills for parents who are experiencing problems controlling their children.
Durham County Council
Works with identified victims of crime throughout County Durham aged between 8 –13 years old. Victims are referred by referral orders and other orders from the courts.
Delivery of school sessions covering crime, how victims feel after a crime has been committed against them, the age of criminal responsibility, saying sorry and how to make amends to the victim.
Drama sessions have and can be undertaken in schools and DVDs and videos about restorative justice are now being shown in schools throughout the county.

B-Smart
The B-Smart project is part of the Supporting Young People Initiative run through DISC and works specifically with the young people identified as part of the top 200 young people at risk in the district.
The young people are aged 10-17 and are those who are most at risk of participating in crime and anti-social behaviour and have family and social factors or are connected with, or in the care of, Local Authority.
The Project provides developmental activities for young people who have been identified in relation to crime and anti-social behaviour.

Sorted II
An outreach project designed to hit hot spot areas of anti social behaviour. Working with 13-25 year olds on environmental tasks, team building activities & a neighbourhood profile of their village
Training programmes provide trainees the opportunity of gaining up to six months training or paid work experience with a suitable organisation and regular supervision and support.
