Community 'quick fix it' grant
We can 'quick fix it' for you!
The customer involvement team and its service review panel members have developed and launched a community 'quick fix it' grant scheme. The scheme aims to encourage community and voluntary groups to apply for up to £500 towards projects that will improve the quality of life within an East Durham Homes estate area.
In 2010/2011 we have supported 10 community projects through the 'quick fix it' grant scheme, with a total amount awarded to groups of £4,410.
There were a range of community and voluntary groups that benefitted from the grant, such as residents associations, local sports club, youth clubs and heritage centre.
This year grant scheme has seen a further thirteen projects across the East Durham Area to be awarded funding totalling £4,800. This includes Denehouse Residents Association that have worked with and supported their local Sure Start Centre to provide a sensory garden for young children in their area.
There is still limited funding available, so if you are part of a community or voluntary group and have a project that will benefit the local area, please apply by completing the application form below.
