Assignment of a tenancy
Your right to transfer your tenancy
We may allow you to pass your tenancy to a member of your family if they have been living with you for 12 months in a row before the date you apply to do so. This is called assignment and you must get our permission in writing to do this.
If your home is a bungalow or a property that has been specially adapted for a person with a disability, we are not likely to allow you to transfer your tenancy. However, we may make an exception if the person you want to transfer your tenancy to has specific needs that your home would meet.
