Anti-social behaviour strategy
This is the first anti-social behaviour strategy which has been developed by East Durham Homes which aims to identify our customers’ priorities and the actions that need to be undertaken to tackle anti-social behaviour effectively.
In considering the vision of this strategy, our customers felt that incidents of anti-social behaviour could seriously affect the quality of people’s lives and their ability to live in their homes in a safe and peaceful manner. Our customers requested that we adopt the following vision:
‘To reduce anti-social behaviour by working together with partners and residents.’
The five key strategic objectives of this strategy are:
- Prevent ASB in the district
- Reduce ASB through partnership working
- Increase tenant involvement to address ASB
- Deliver Respect Standard for Housing Management
- Effective use of ASB tools and legislative powers
